We are back again at the lovely Teas and Seas cafe hosting a carved vase or mug workshop -  whatever takes your fancy!
Join our Ceramic Carved Vase Workshop and create a beautifully textured piece using hand-building and carving techniques to add pattern, depth, and personality. We will also be touching on coiling technique to create the necks of our vases. While the focus is on crafting a unique vase, the workshop is designed to be versatile so you can also shape your piece into a mug or a small plant pot if you prefer. Keep your design clean and minimal or experiment with more elaborate carved patterns and textures. By the end of the session, you’ll have a functional ceramic piece that’s entirely your own and suited to how you want to use it.
 
Date: 20th May - 6.30pm - 8.30pm
 
The workshop will include all your materials, firings and finally a glaze dipping. These pieces will be dipped in a rustic white glaze.
 
With all ceramic creations they each have to have two firings. Once your creations have been made I will take them home with me to be dried out and have their first firing in my kiln. Once fired, I will dip them glaze and fire them for a final time. All pieces will be ready for collection at teas and seas or from my studio in Angmering. This workshop requires no previous experience and is perfect for beginners. We look forward to seeing you there!
